Precision case-making

Post by totokan »

For my MPSOneP, I need to make a case that is very precise. In a nutshell, I'm trying to figure out the best(and/or easiest) way to make a case that stays attached to a psone very well, and it is also easy to take off. The easier parts are making the 'wings' of the controller, and the battery that goes on the bottom. Any ideas? (I was thinking of vaccum forming a mold of the outside of a psone for my original idea, but now I want it to have the screen like on the sp)
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

For something really precise you can either use a CNC machine or send ben your design and pay him to make it.

How much does he charge for that?

Most likely a good deal of money seeing the prices of the cases for his book. Of course, it might be less on a custom job because you might need less materials. Or it might be more because Ben would have to design Vector based graphics for a one-time-only deal, and he could charge for labor and stuff...

I emailed him and asked him if he could make me that case he used for his exodus and he said assembled, the case would cost $100 USD of course.

Edit: Money's a concern to him.
