Having A Problem With My Portable

Post by Unidentified Assilant »

I've got everything working, but... the Composite lead on my Radica, is not what I need to fit into my pocket TV, which is a AV (so it says) jack on the side, same size as a headphone socket, I can't seem to find anything that allows me to use these... so for now, the project cannot be continued, any help? when I can, i'll get pictures

Ok... I have a SCART to Composite Video/Audio-L, you lot probably won't know what SCART is but it doesn't matter, for an AV cable? Could I just use the end of a Headphone cable? It's the same kind of connection and everything...

yeah, just cut the Headfone lead and strup

1 braid or gold wires, twist until together and tin...

look at this....

then plug into your PocketTV

you should see a black screen.

solder the gold thick 1 with no insulation on ground

then work out wich of the 2 cabels are A and which is V

work out V first by putting 1 coloured wire off the lead onto the radica yellow wire solder thing, if you dont get nowt, try the other wire from the tv.

or just strip the phono cables, and twist the wires on your pockettv until u get picture

hmm... it would be better if I didn't directly connect them, I have something that came with the radica upstairs, it is a SCART-2-Video/Audio-L, instead, I'd like to make that into an adaptor for the Pocket TV, so when I want a new portable, this old TV and adaptor can be used :), I can already get the case, and maybe solder a wire directly from them to the headphone cable... might work
