Hello, I am trying to get my Dreamcast to work on my psone screen, but am having some trouble with the video. The screen stays on, but is always black.
You should also know that I am pretty new to this.
Anyways, I made a psone portable with a cardboard box case, and now want to take the screen out and use it on my DC. But, i wanted to do this without desoldering my psone. To do this, I needed to solder wires directly onto the pins of the screen's card slots.
this is the pin information I uased with my DC:

and for my psone:

So, I used the pins on the DC's video output instead of the underside of the mobo (if you looked at the link). I am not sure if I need to do more than I have.
- I hooked up the audio (works)
- DreamCasts ground to the screen's ground
- connected the composite sync (didn't think i needed this, but saw a topic saying that I should)
- The dc's RGB's-out to the screen's RGB's-in. The connections are great.
- lastly, i soldered the needed points on the dreamcast's mobo to make it output rgb.
Now, I am not sure if I needed to do anything else, but I can't seem to get any picture. Audio is fine and I am pretty sure the screen still works. Has anyone else gotten this working and did you have to do more than what I listed above?

that's a very bad way to bump a topic this old. please read the rules
rule 7 wrote:7. Don't bring up old topics without valid reason. It's OK to, say, bring up an old thread about hacking an Intec screen if you have a question about the pins. However it's NOT OK to bring up an old thread with a comment like "yeah that's kewl!".
