do you still need to drill holes for the speakers or are they there and I just can't tell in the picture?
That is looking very slick, I want my SNESp v2 to looks something like that except up and down(like the gameboy) and with the PS1 screen(although I may grab a hipgear to make it smaller).

Yeah, I used a SNES Mini. I have not drilled the speaker holes, they are in there I just have to drill the holes in the front plate so the sound comes out (it will look like my sig). Everything barely fit. It is so tight that I am putting plastic in between everything so there is not a risk of power arcing. An easy way to do this is cut a 2 liter coke bottle in half and then place the plastic under something heavy for a long time untill it looses the curve, you can also blow it with a hairdryer before putting it under the heavy stuff. Or just get a transparency from school or work. I may even use the coke bottle plastic to seal off the cart slot if the 1/8" engraving plastic is too thick, yeah it is that close.
Another design feature is I am using two sheets of 1/4" acrylic behind the 1/8" engraving plastic on the front to create posts and such to mount stuff, this also allows room for the screen with out having the screen only rise like on some of Ben's portables. I will have more pics of it after finals

the audio was givin me some trouble thats about it but i think it was because i fried the amp nothing to big they are real nice screens though, not really harder than a psone screen just a little more fragile id sayextremesonic wrote:what kind of problems have you had turbo tax? The reason I chose the PS1 for mine, was becuase it was simple. Is a hipgear screen that much harder to do?
