Can I give a PSone 9V without a regulator?

Of course you could give it 9v! However, you'll probably end up with a fried board.

It has to be 7.5v.

I put 8v into my PSone and it ran just fine. But I wouldn't go over that.

(Just incase it matters I was using a September 2000 PSone. Yes, before they used date codes! :P)
