need help with controller

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

I guess I'll answer this one. Anyway, what I did (not exactly the best, but easiest option) was used two control boards. One I cut off the d-pad, and face buttons, and the other was intact. Then I soldered the traces from board to board. I have to open up my PSPsp later today so I'll put up some pictures if I remember.

Hehe, that's exactly what I did with my two n64 controllers. The first one I fried the chip so I used cutouts of that to use for button backings.

so can you use one. i guess you have to solder. what do i get to solder and how much and where at.

all the stuff thats metal were you cut it in half. ie the contacts

score it with a knife or xacto blade and crack it apart, usually works good, score both sides

yes. you need a soldering iron (not gun or pen), a spool of solder, and some flux for good measure. and probably some hot glue gun stuff to put over your solder to keep it in place. all of this is available at radio shack to buy. i suggest you practice soldering on old computer stuff before you try this as you might trash a good psone controller. you also need some good hard drive wires (not the new flimsy kind) or some other type of wire. good luck
