Gamecube Screen

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Gamecube Screen

Post by Psy »

Can I connect a gamecube 5.4" screen to my PSone project, and if so how?

Many thanks in advance.

Of course. connect the composite line one the screen to the yellow plug on the playstation. http://www.doomportables.org/video.html has the pinout of the GCN plug, though you will need to make it backwards because that is for the system, not the plug.

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

You find the av inputs of the screen, then you find the av outs on the psone, then you attach the two. Most people here dont use the screens in portables because they're bulky, have a lower screen res than the PSone screen, and require +12 volts.

I'm only using it cos I picked one up for £11.50! It's for my five year old anyway so I don't think he'll be too bothered about resolution like!
