But it seems like we are currently swaying towards a dreamcast project.

Aarghh,
Dude that's how to learn stuff. Plus there are some similarities. I think the DC takes 3.3v. We might need you for that..
Oh well, I can't make you...

I already made a power circuit that runs on 3.7/7.4 volts.
I think that just one of those 3.7v li-ions should do the trick. If anyone has the exact current ratings for all three lines, I'd gladly accept them.
