Free Xbox Live (360 Live)?

Post by HotDog-Cart » Mon May 28, 2007 5:43 pm

Hey, I'm getting a 360 (Woo Only $60 away from getting a used core for $290. No games through or memory cards/HDD)

I was wondering. Is there anyway I can get a free month trial of Xbox Live?

I'm buying this used so I doubt it will come with the 3 month free thing.

I know, Blockbuster gives you a 1 month "trial" card when ever you rent a game. (What makes this way bigger is that, you can rent 2 games for $12 CAD. So thats 2 free month cards.)

But is there any other way I can get some for free?

Any websites that give you a code or something?

Thanks.

Um, that's a really really bad price. A new core is $300.

No theyre 1 month trial cards at the black buster Im at. It even says "Free 1 month trial card with rental or purchase of game".

Also, I'm in canada. The new core is $300 USD. Also, $290 is also good for me, as ebay has shipping funds and such. Which definatly bring the price up more.

Also, I'm buying it from a gamestore so I get a 30 day warranty and Im not even paying in cash. I just traded old games in, and now im at $265 :D:D

So, even better deal for me.

Still, back on topic!

the exchange rate is as high as its been since 1977 or something like that. its over 91 cents right now.

its bad for our economy.

also, im not an economist (economics-ist?) or anything but im pretty sure its cause the US dollar is going down relative to ours... blame bush.

On any 360 if you create a new gamertag you will get a free month of Xbox Live gold.

I can't remember the exact number, but I think this only works for the first 5 Xbox-live enabled gamertags you setup on the 360.

So as long as the used unit has had less than 5 live-enabled gamertags setup on it you should be all set. :)
Xbox Live Silver is a great introduction to the ultimate online console experience that you get with Xbox Live Gold. Sign up for a free Xbox Live Silver account and get your feet wet. Everyone gets a complimentary 30-day trial of Xbox Live Gold just for signing up for an Xbox Live Silver account (limited time offer; limited number of free trials per system). It's a great opportunity to see what all the hoopla is about. Upgrade your account status to Xbox Live Gold from the comfort of your couch.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/features/goldenage.htm

It doesn't get into specifics here, but it does mention the limited number of free trials.

Hope this helps! 8)

Hey Google XBC. hook up the xbox to your computer and the net( duh). and then you can play a similar xbox live thing. But it runs through the " system link " screen but its all free and there is always HEAPS of people playing. Great program, There also is another one which is called Xlink i think. But yeah i think XBC is easy and yeah.

Yea I was planning on using Xbox Live Silver for downloading demos, and using XBC for playing online.

You could cheat Microsoft 8) You could do what err, a "friend" of mine did... fork out the $60 for the XBL prepaid card, then go home and DON'T input the code. Phone up Microsoft, and say you inputted the code but it didn't work. The gave me, err my "friend" a new code. Put that new code into the 360 and then when it runs out, put in your actual card code. Voila, an extra year free! (BTW, this also works with points cards  )

I don't take any responsibility if your Xbox gets banned from Live...
