I'm looking for a slot for my NESp in the works, NOT the big bulky weird one for the original "VCR" system.
I can't find anything on ebay. Frankly, I'm not sure what to look for.
Does anyone know where I can get one? Or does anyone have an extra one for some odd reason?

Hey, sup?
Can't you get one from the 60 to 72 pin Famicon converter thing? (Half of that sentence is probably incorrect. )
Just go to a used game store and find on that is heavier than normal, maybe an in-store comparison between a normal one and one you think might have it.
Ben said something like this on one of his projects, I don't remember what game he said to get but I'll look into it.
EDIT
Sorry for this waste of a poste, I was wrong about the connection...the Famicon has a 60-pin connection, and a 72-pin pad...

Sorry about this, but you could make your own like ben did for his NES Micro...

He wired it up with two old floppy drive connectors.

~Adam~Ben wrote:To keep it small as possible I wired the adapter by hand, rather than using a converter as with, say, a Game Axe, and kept the wires short. I used 2 old floppy drive cables for the cartridge slot. Don't call me cheap (well I am, but) I just couldn't find the correct 72-pin connector for the cartridge off Digi-Key. They're sort of obsolete these days. You may notice a gap in the center - this is fine as the center pins on a NES cartridge are intended for the expansion slot on the bottom of the American NES. Therefore they go unused. (No such extra cartridge pins were present on the Famicom)

I was thinking about both the game genie idea and the Floppy Drive idea.
If someone can link me to a 72 pin what-chama-callit, that'd be great. Especially one from Digikey. Or at least tell me what I'm looking for. These would save me lots of time wiring up the cartridge slot, and reduce error by 50%, as well as give me a smaller connector.
Is this what I want?

If not, I'll look around in used game stores for a game genie.

It looks right, but to be honest, I wouldn't put money on my opinion. A look around the net on what you linked produced this link, which gives a bit more info on it, although it's still, of course, rather muddy.
Give it a go I say, it's not too expensive and I doubt there is much else you can do, short of getting something more expensive and using it's connector.
EDIT: I had a problem with my brain. I've shot it, so it ought to stay in order for a while yet.
