There's a trade off though - according to IGN reviews, he take double damage, and you can't use the store - so it's even harder with Protoman.

Wait, why was this moved? I figured because it was a super-game boy project it would be appropriate for the super-nintendo forum. Eh, it could go either place, really, but News is dedicated to completed projects, which this is. You'd get more attention here, too, so all's not bad. :P

Makes sense ...

An old black-label GOLF cartridge. I felt a little bad because it's one of the classic "black-label" designs, but it was the only game the shop had that was .99 except duck hunt - and I didn't want to destroy a "duck hunt only" cart because the novelty of it. I didn't feel bad about destroying a ...

Heh, nice, good quick fix. Though if you ever decide to upgrade it, you should throw it in an old Super Famicom cart. Now that would be truly epic! :P

I really wanted to, but the only Super famicom game i have a double of is secret of mana 2 (JP, just secret of mana here,) and I don't really want ...

SuperGameBoy in an NES cartridge!

Recently I've been hankering for some old gameboy games, so I went down to my local used game shop and picked up a Super-Game Boy. There was only one problem: I have a Japanese SNES, a Super Famicom, and American cartridges don't fit:

They will bear a little stress, when the cartridge is inserted or removed from the system - the walls will need to be able to pull the circuit board and the plastic together, without giving way. Do you think super-glue is strong enough for that?

Cartridge Casemod - SNES board into NES cartridge - help?

Hey guys,

For reasons I don't want to get into here, i'm modding a Super Game Boy to fit into an old NES cartridge. Obviously I need to cut a slot of the GB game to meet the connector, but what i'm worried most about is securing the circuit board within the cartridge, so it can be pulled in and out ...

NES controller on an SNES?

I recently bought a super game boy, and although the SNES controller is great, I thought it might be fun to play Gameboy games with an old-NES controller. I know the pinouts are similar between the two controllers, and I know hookin up an SNES cotroller to an NES control deck will yield positive ...

I love little mods like this. I wish there was an A/V mod for the GBC, I think it would be neat to build a stand alone "Game Boy Color" console that uses an NES controller.

Do you know what kind of screen input it uses? It it a "TV" type AV in screen, or is it all digital? If it's all digital like a GBA screen and the like, than it's only good for itself, but if it can be used with any NOAC, it could be a good source of cheap screens, at the very least.

It plays games in full color; as far as the game knows, it's a GBC.

I just posted a video that prooves otherwise. Please provide proof to this claim. Although I would like it to be true, every credible source i have found says the exact opposite, which leads me to believe you are either trying to ...
