Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

This is very general. Of course it's possible to put a modchip in a portable. The PS1 isn't a great first portable, but it's not too bad.

If you make a portable out of a PSX, and you have the right model, you can plug a Game Enhancer (Plug and Play Modchip) right into the back port that the gameshark normally uses. If you get a PSOne and portabilize it, you can just solder the modchip into the portable. Modchips are typically very thin and use no components that stick up and are typically very small. Or you can use a bootdisk (very annoying) or the swap trick (unreliable and hard as hell)

An example of a PSX modchip is below:

See, it's small and could totally be used in a portable.

I think he used the small one, but I made mine with the big one, loads of people have done both.

If (when) I were to build a PSONE portable, I would mod chip it for sure. We all know how hard some PS1 games are to find. Who wants to risk scratching their copy of Xenogears :D or Symphony of the Night? Its much more likely to happen with a portable.

Yeah I Will, I will Even make some videos of me doing it, but until then here is
Just one tip for now, IF you dont go quick enough, it wont work, always have your hand ready snatch the Disc out of the Systems and place in the Back-up/Import/Homebrew disc, PSTWO only requires you to switch once, while PSone, and PS1, require 2 swaps, not 1 like a lot of people think.
