Rewired cartridge slot (with metal supports to hold cartidge in place)

Uses my excellent wiring diagram(never worry about wrong voltage going somewhere it shouldn't, will post later)
Charger port
Screen push click button switch(ala 2nd portable)
Expansion pack
Metal strips to hold case together on top.(ala 3rd portable)
Franken case A, B, C-pad plastic (nice and smooth)

For the record, I do not need to be reminded that it is ugly, that is already established. Any posts flaming it because it is ugly will be deleted by request. (*glares at bacteria* :P)

Video 1

This unit is for sale, at a starting price of $300 (includes shipping.)
Post or pm me offers, I need to get this cash for two reasons:
To build the next one
To repay my friend for his psp, which I broke. (GDDMNIT)

The next one will be of 1337 proportions, each one got better and better.

According to my calculations, you won't have a 1337 one until your 1337th attempt. :P
I'm just kidding, this one actually looks pretty good. Now that you have the internals down good, you should have more time to make the case look awesome.

why'd the leds stay on when you turned it off? 2 switches?

This is why I need to perfect my vacuum forming technique - to help out my fellow portablizers!

So my headphone jack post actually helped someone other than myself? Hooray! I was wondering if anyone ever read it...

Do you have the record for most N64 portables now?

Well done, by the way. Functional working portable > pretty case

Yep. That was me. The only thing wrong with that one was no 3.3v converter and no batteries right? Because you've re-inspired me to actually get that thing working.

Good work on this one; glad you finally got everything working! Good luck on your next endeavor!

Life of Brian - Actually, your posting on the headphone jack is opportune, I hadn't seen it before, but I will find it useful in my current project. Many thanks, and thanks SS for pointing to it.

@ LoB:
Vacuum forming would be nice.

The headphone jack works perfectly.

I think so!

Functional working portable in pretty case is next.

@ lifeisbettawitketchup
Yeah, order a converter from TI and get the parts for it from your local radio shack.

I need to order me another converter.

@ bacteria
I dont know, I might, but seeing as you stress on cases, I can't tell.

"If you like ugly portables, this is the portable for YOU!"

Actually, it looks...usable.

(I should shut up - my N64p is turning out just as "functional" as yours have been, and its taking a LOT longer...)

There is one comment I would mention SS; the cart is sticking out of the N64 so much it is likely that you might catch it on a surface accidentally, and the leverage from having so much cart exposed would cause damage to the guts in the system as it jolted. How about moving the cart slot to the back of the N64 so the cart game is directly behind the casing, and moving the batteries under the cart slot? Just a suggestion buddy.

@Krept: Actually, yesterday I got my progress report, and I had good grades, So my dad let me have all my stuff back if I cleaned my room. So I did.

@JBJ: It fits my hands great. I've taken it to school and let people play it and they all agree that it is fun to play and fun to use. FUN. FUN! FUUUUUN!!!!

@germvirus(bacteria :P)The only reason thee slot is there is because it wouldnt go anywhere else. The metal that reinforces the slot Protects the slot, because it is glued on top of the slot, and the slot itself is held in by metal brackets glued in place. It wont get caught on any surface. I'm planning on(when I get some perspex/acrylic) making a more secure shield type thing that protects the slot as well as the batteries(batteries dont need it, just making it look better)

Like I've already said: any offers in the trading post?

From the video it seems to work great. I commend you for putting together the internals, nice job!

It looks god-awful. There, I said it ;) But seriously, you will be amazed at what a few layers of Bondo and sanding will do for the case contours. Tip: Hot glue goes inside the case where no one like me can complain about it ;)

I've been thinking that If I could get my hands on a big sheet of plastic, then I would probably spiff it up.

Anyways, Thanks for the comments. I'll make it look nice if/when I have the time.
