Rise from your grave.

Post by weaponepsilon »

Whats up Nerds? It's the time of year when the dead rise and so here I am once again. I have been busy for a few years actually, fluctuating hobbies, jobs, life. Anyhow my recent bit of business has brought me back to these forums. My question to all you kind folk, what sort of chips do you home brewers use? I want to know EEPROMS, RAMS, and other ICs.

WISE FWOM YOUR GWAVE

I don't do homebrew chips, but I wanted to get that out of the way, anyway.

What's everybody been up to?

I've been going to school and am about to graduate here in the spring. I haven't been tinkering like I used to (it seems they frown upon soldering irons in the dorms for some reason...).

Wow, it's sad how dead this place looks now. I stopped even lurking really around the time of the modretro split due to some unforeseen life problems.

Semi-related note: Palmertech is the founder of OculusVR? What!? That's crazy!

Yeah, ever since I figured it out I've been a bit shell shocked. It's weird to know that my Rift DK1 is likely a direct result of this place/Modretro.

Anyway, It's great to know that someone's tinkering from here resulted in something so awesome. Seriously dude, congrats on all the success!

I'm here.
None of you remember me, I registered in early 2011 and mostly lurked here, but quickly gained a reputation for being incredibly annoying on ModRetro that haunts me to this day.
Now I look at the sad state of affairs (3 dead PHPBBs plus MBB/Bacman which I don't really visit, not to mention the dozens of former blogs) and cry.

I strangely thought about these forums today, and how much of an idiot I was when I was 15. I still wish I would have finished at least one portable, maybe I will dust some of this stuff off!
PSp is about 70% done, just have to do the controller and case.
