Outside 16 pins on Cartridge Slot

I was back at rewiring the old cart slot this week and once again I pondered the use of the outer 16 pins (8 on each side) on the SNES cartridge slot. Go to this link to view my previous ponderings (http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php? ... ght=unused) None of my SnES games used the outer 16 pins on the slot so I decided to test the advice I found on the forums and did a search and found this page (http://nsrt.edgeemu.com/INFO/chipinfo.htm) it has pics of a lot of the SNES cartridge chips and lists the games that use them. So the outer 16 pins are used but in the process of discovery I found a cool site
