Ok, try jumping the fuse, if not, I think others can help. Why modify a FIRST EDITION

You may have blown the fuse on the board--check (with a multimeter) to see if it has blown. On the old snes board it should be near where the switch was wired in.

It's basically something that insulates, or transfuses the power; maybe that's fried, if you jump it, you might save it. Ask others for help, may I suggest Atka; I'm not good with the SNES

The fuse is a black thing in a gap in the board. Its in the upper left hand corner (when you have the cartridge label facing you, assuming that one is in of course). Jump that and it should work again.

What people mean when they say "jumping the switch" means to just connect the terminals of something. It's the same thing as shorting. Either you can use a wire or a blob of solder. Don't ever short battery terminals though!

Well ok, but it shouldn't be that hard to find.
This picture doesn't have one in, but its in the area highlighted by the red box.

No its not the 7805, that just happens to be bent over the fuse spot in this pic. And no its not my picture. It happens to be in the opposite orientation I was referring to earlier as well. Just to clear up any confusion this has the back of the console facing you I was talking about the front facing you.

oh, and a fuse is something that only allows a certain amount of current in before it breaks, or "fries"...when a short occurs, way more current that needed is going through, so what happens? the fuse breaks and the SNES is saved :)...thought I'd point out what fuses actually do ;)....oh, and it'd be a good idea to replace it...though I don't know the rating of it :|.....
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!
