I'd say the SNES. Its got a lot of great games. Thats and it doesnt require as much hardwiring as the atari does.

People suggest the second model as its smaller and recetanguler, well the first one is square. You can order one from the Xinga place, just keep one thing in mind, its coming from China/Hong Kong so the shipping is going to cost you nad take more time then other places.

Well it looks like Snes won. The one I don't have  but alas eBay has one and I shall purchase it. It will have a Psone screen that I already have. I also might steal an idea from Snesguy's snesp fusion. With putting the sreen in an nes cart so it can swivel  I know it tied with 2600 but I just wanna use my Psone screen for something and the reason I want to build one is for cross country and lacrosse game bus rides :D And most of my friends don't like the Atari

SNES. It has a nice controller design, and is easy to rig Japanese compatibility into. ^^ That and it6 has a BUNCH of RPGs. ^^
Warranty-Voiding fun!

What, not mess with lasers? You've got to be kidding me! I've ran my CD player open, and I didn't get blinded! You'd have to look directly into the laser lens to get hurt. If you designed the portable without power in the first phase, nothing could go wrong.

same with the Gamecube's laser. It looks kinda cool, though. I don't think it would be hurtful at all.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Maybe if you moved you head ever so carefully while looking at the laser, it would be possible to draw permanent images on your retna. It would be the latest fad. Retna tatoos. Of course, no one would be able to see them except you. hehe

Oh make sure you draw it upside down!

Woah, cool! Still, you shouldn't have a problem if you toned-down the laser's powerfulness, or put a piece of felt over it.
