Easier ways to split a NES controller?

Post by Cyberblade »

Is there an easier way to split a NES controller then cutting it and soldering the connections together? I would do that, but the connections are very small on the NES controllers I have and I've got no experience soldering. How bout tactile switches? How would I use those on the controller? Thanks

sure, you could use tatile switches. Just connect one end to the ground, and the other to the right pin on the chip. Use a continuity tester or trace the pins to find out what goes where.

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

...think you could be more specific? Like how? (pictures help me a lot since I'm more of a visual person)
