well i hooked the power all up and the lights go on, so i hooked a 22 guage wire from the video on the board into a video jack and then hooked a cable from the video jack for the n64 to the video jack on the tv and all i get when i turn it on is a green screen flashes and goes away. any idea what the problem is??

Recheck that you actually connected it to the video in, you could've connected it to the audio input accidentally. If that fails, try connecting another source to the TV, such as a non-hacked game system, and try connecting the N64 to another TV or screen.

i remember(before i met this friend of mine) that he said he had a N64, but it was broken. Well I was at his place and was itchin for some Mario Kart 64, so I said hey lets get it out. So we pull it out and gave it a try and wham green screen then nothing. So i gave it the old blow the cart and 64 connector, and volla it worked fine(it was that, or I'm some sort of magic N64 healer). It gets the odd green screen now and then, but otherwise its perfect. So it could be the cartridge/cart slot is dirty give it a clean.

As I've found from my N64, that can also happen when the 3.3v line isn't getting power. Usually fixed in a normal unit by wiggling the AC adapter when it's on, but you should try testing that 3.3v really is getting to the input where it's supposed to.

That is all of the signs of a missing 3.3v line. The power light and the AV connections come directly from the regulated 12v line, so you should check with your multimeter if 3.3v is actually getting to the spot.
