Switching Controllers

Post by warbaby »

I read part of this in another thread, but the general concensus seemed to be pretty split. I have 2 SPDT switches and I want to switch my P1 controller port between external and internal. Some say switching the ground is best, some say that the VCC is the way to go. I've got two switches, just wondering if there is a definitive direction in which to go. Thanks.

The safest way (IIRC) is to switch Vcc and have a pulldown resistor on the internal controller's vcc line and on the ext. slot's vcc line.
