Hi everyone,
I looked around for a post similar to mine but it seems most poeple are talking about the small intec screens attached to controllers. If this post is out there somewhere i didnt mean to bring it up again.
anyway,
Im pretty new to electronics and i was wondering if you guys could help me fix my intec screen. Its one of those screens that attach to your ps2. Its 5in i believe. The backlight in the screen has burnt out and i would like to replace it with leds. Any ideas on how to do this? Ive tried applying the technique ben uses with his psone screen but i cant find any leads (i think thats what there called). Also will i be able to just combine all the negs and connect it to ground?
I would post pics but im also new to forum use (sorry)
Thanks
Trying to fix a 5inch ps2 intec lcd

This is the intec screen Iam working with.

This pic may be more clear.

Anyway the backlight is burnt out and i want to replace it with leds i just dont know where to connect the leds for power. I think that i need to find power leads or something.
Sorry about the big pics but it wouldnt be as helpful if you couldnt see the board in detail

The screen should have a 7805 power regulator on it. The 7805 is a small black square that sticks up and has three pins. It should have a little piece of metal on one side, and say "7805" with some more text on the other side. The 7805 will probably be somewhere close to the power jack. If you look at the 7805 from the side with the text, the pin on the right will be 5V, and you can connect a wire to that.
Here is your pics in a bit smaller format:

Just a small suggestion, now that you know how to post pics, read bicostp's thread on taking better pictures(sorry, don't have a direct link right now).
