looks awsome :D. the case looks a bit small, i've heard the disk drive is kinda bulky

Disk drive can be made much smaller. The big cover on it is... just that, a cover. The bottom part can be removed, and therefore made smaller. Look for my GCp soon too.

From almost 2in, down to exactly 1 inch. Here's some pictures:

why is the disk reader so big if the discs are so small

Well, it's not really. Nintendo just wanted to make their system a perfect square. So, they put a little extra plastic under the disc reader, and then it is a perfect square!

Just a thought.

Wow, I had no idea the mobo was so dang small!
I thought there was a heatsink on the GC? I don't see it in the pics.
