what construction method are you looking at?

Well I have a metal briefcase and didn't have the right tools to cut it so it turned out crappy. I'm not looking to go cheap or expensive somewhere in the middle just getting some ideas right now.

Vacuum forming gives excellent results, downside is it could become weak in the center.
To fix that you could add a metal plate (similar to what ben used) this will give the case more strength.

You could build a former for around 20-30$
