In need of a detailed guide for making a N64p!

I am new to hacking, (no real knowledge on it) and the only gaming I am really fond of is N64! I was wondering whether anyone had detailed, and well explained guides to making a N64p? One kind of like Ben's.

Everybody needs something to start.

You saying that you never read a guide or book before making your first portable? Half the people that come here don't understand anything about electronics, so they need help.

BTW: have you even made a portable?

why yes i have, my first wasent to impressive, but certianly i read no guide, as mine follows virtually no other specs of the others, im currently working on a newer one, that is thinner lighter, and has better battery life http://www.browndotdesign.com/Xodus/Images/N64P/

Well, I am sorry that I am a person new to this. I thought that people would actually try and help me. I am no idiot and I did try google, but half of them were pretty bad. I am going to order the book that Ben Heck is talking about, it just doesn't cover N64. So don't worry, I'll try somewhere else more supportive that won't flame me!

i know how it feels they are just being harsh

it is hard and even with the guiide i am having immmense trouble

its not that i meant dont come here for help, im new to the forum but not new to portablizing, all i meant was, try to make it very original, i spend hours just looking at concept drawings and how other people have laid out their portables, im sorry if i came off that way, i didnt mean dont read a guide, just dont follow it to the letter

agreed, if it wasent for the internet, virtually no portable consoles would exist, sept for the ppl who have tv's in their cars...., but truly we should be supportive of others, granted i have taken a few conceptual ideas from others, and im sure some people have taken a few from me

Hypocrite! Don't you think that saying that you look at others' concepts and portables is kind of worse then using a guide? Like seriously, using a guide is for the internals, which is similar for every portable, but you are basically just combining others' stuff.

And Beorn, only one person saying anything rude here, so don't say that "people" are flaming.

people have left the forums because there are to many people to lazy (no offense) to search for stuff. this has been asked many many many many many many many many many many many many times before. please search before posting before someone gets mad. sorry if i sound harsh, but if you read cennars last post, i'm sure you'll understand.
