perhaps a better DC concept.
hit is a DC concept i drew out the other day when i was a little bored well this is what my dream DC would look like it would have a 7" ps2 screen and two vmu ports on the top. ablity to conect to another one (if i can ever make two!) via an av and controler exchange or seriel port(The Dc alreddy has a good link up with the seriel pot) and a docking staion set up.

Wow 7" screen that things going to be huge! But I have to say you have planned out the design well, epecially if you can properly mount the controller so you have both memory card slots.
I was going to take Poppe's idea and base the design around a controller, but I want it to be a 3rd party as the Dreamcast one just suck (too uncomfortable). I might post the pic later.

yeah your probly right again gannon. and yeah the only problem i have with cutting up a oreganal DC controller is that you cant relocate the joystick or the sholder buttons so its a big pain using those. and to have the VMU ports still on the thing i would mount the 3rd party board like behind the screen and inbetwen that and the main board.
Yea it's a pretty cool design. Do the regular dreamcast controllers have two DC slots? Have you thought of doing one like poppe's. Also what does the docking station do. Sorry about all the questions, I'm just curious about it. On a side note the 7" screen sounds nice on paper but it will make your system a whole lot bigger. If it goes to your design the system will be like 16" long. Your other ideas for it are really good. Sorry again if in critizing you I don't mean to I'm just giving you my opinion.
Yes, the sega Dreamcast controllers have two slots. Cennar said the docking stations is to have a hard drive.
I'm looking over my Dreamcast controller and there maybe a way to move the shoulder triggers and I'll look and see if its possible to move the joy-stick.

ok im having the Vmu ports hang out the top like the quatum controlers thingsLink89 wrote:You should put both a the vmu slot of each side of the screen if you do it gba style. Then you can see whats happening on both of them while your playing. How are you going to build your case?
and im going to send a mold out to some one else for them to vacume form it
I'm going to have it right under the screen. Its missing a lot of buttons (power, open, start) but considering I put it together in side of an hour it not half bad. I'll probibly cut it down to one VMU, as I really only use mu green one.Link89 wrote:That looks pretty good but were does the cd go.
