First project complete! just fixed my nes 72pin

Post by Scottery »

I just completed my first project, I did the thing where you open up your nes and and bend the pins in on the 72pin so that it works every time.
I know this isn't very complex but I do feel proud of my self since I am new to this kind of thing and I am glad I don't have to spend 30 minutes blowing in the games any more lol

Everyone has to start somewhere! At least you're getting a start with something useful. I got into everything because I started playing Pokemon Red version, not Fire Red... My cousin showed me GameShark (Action Replay renamed for the US market. Now they sell as Action Replay because GameShark is owned by MadCatz.) and it got me to want to make my own codes. It all eventually rolled off from there.

I've always admired the hardware hackers because they have a lot more at risk. You can't copy and paste a (real) PCB board like you can do with computer files. You'll have to buy a new piece if you ruin something. I just don't have the coordination skills or money to do hardware stuff, but I love reading about all the crazy things people can do with it.

Just wait, a year from now you're going to invent a foldable rocket ship for the household family to use to fly to Mars in 20 minutes. Well, maybe not quite, but you get the idea.

But you have to stay dedicated. This project means pretty much nothing to your future if you don't stay dedicated.

Hooray for reviving and not adding anything to the conversation.
