Learning Flash

I know, I'm a total programming n00b, (I only know Java and VB, and vaguely ) but I'm looking for a comprehensive starter's guide to flash, preferably in book form, but a website tutorial would be helpful as well. Also, what kind of tools does someone learning flash need in their arsenal to get started? Thanks!

Also, just play around with the drawing tools for a while. Grab a picture of a cartoon character and trace it with the line tools. Stick to tracing stuff until you get comfortable with the drawing tools, then go freehand.
