The X64 v1, COMPLETE! (56k beware!)

Post by ShockSlayer »

EDIT: 2nd better portable linked here for wiki!

Okay, You all know about my X64, for I have been working on it since summer of last year.

I lost around:
6 n64 mother boards
3 screens
Inumerable amounts of controllers
And many other electronic devices I failed at modding.

Casualties:
Burns
Cuts
MONEY
Frustration!
Time

But yet, through all of that, I suceeded!

Although I tried to finish this right before my trip, I still failed at that. twice. That would explain the ugliness, the same reason as daguuy's.

But, hey! It works! And it runs real long for what I've got!

I need a new RF adapter, and may be recieving one from krepticor.

Nice job, even if it does look like a tangled mess.

Looks like Johnny 5 from Short Circuit 2 when he's hacked to bits.. Needs touching up before it's complete, it seems really unfinished.

Edit: no offense, I had to...

I still think it's pretty cool... the case just needs touching up, but the important thing is that it's portable, and it works.. Great job.

:o There's a Short Circuit 2? Woahz!

Is that all hot glue? Are you sure you couldn't just have used some thick tape? Nice portable though, I've yet to start mine.

You do notice that if we gave a special title to one person, we'd have to do so to everyone else? :P I'm sure that'd just be too time consuming, and it might give visitors the wrong idea of who is in moderating of the forums.

Just a guess, but I think it's 3.3Ah @ 7.2v. :P

I do believe you're right. Stupid Ni-Mh's and their 1.2 volts. Lipos are triple that! quadruple for a small bit at full charge.

Thank you Captain Obvious!

Seriously, about the title thing...Don't you think I deserve it? Can I have it if I make another portable?

Congratulations. It looks quite good, I must say! Though a new case would seal the deal, its fine by me!

Have you considered submitting it to the various game news sites? It would be some easy publicity, which would greatly benefit your chances at a sale!

Good luck!
