AV Problem

Post by Psy »

I have a standard Audio Left, Audio Right and Video In input for my cube screen, which pins from the AV Multiout on the PSOne do I need to connect to where on the cube screen? I have no idea how to interpret the Pinout on Gamesx.com

Thanks in advance.

Ok I dont know if you missed it but the pinout of the PSOne says that the sync is composite, so you need to connect that to pin 3 of the gamecube screen that is if the screen has the same pinout as the N64. Otherwise the ground and audio thing is simple enough and straight forward.

There is atleast on groung line placed by the audio pins, if its just one than use the groung for both if however you have two use one ground for each audio line.

By the way video needs a ground as well, just look at the N64 A/V and the Playstation A/V and be sure that its the sync that you connect togeth to get composite in.

I've done a crappy diagram of the pins I'm attempting to solder to.

Image

Is this the correct numbering for the pins?

If so then I connect:

1 to the right audio ground
2 to the right audio

3 to the left audio ground
4 to the left audio

6 to the video in
8 to the video ground

Is this right?

Right, I attempted to connect it all together using the configuration I mentioned in my last post, unfortunately, whilst the sound seemingly came through ok, the video colour was inverted, any ideas why?
