Yes better pics help show the quality. Maybe borrow one?
I won't be able to enter better pics into "vote thread" anymore, will I?
I'm sure if you PM Skone he will add them.

I for one would not mind. I would love to see high res pics. :)
I'll do it, I already did for another member. No worries mon! :P And c_mon, your portable is quite amazing in my book. I love your woodwork.

We shouldn't allow any votes from anyone without at least a few postings here, before the compo started. Any one of us could set up masses of accounts and ridicule the voting system otherwise. Disregard these voters! Otherwise, all it needs is someone to make 40 accounts and make them all vote in the last hour of voting, and a guaranteed win.

I've already seen at least one post in that thread where it is the users only post. I say, if there's more than one vote per IP, they shouldn't count. That way if anyone had planned this out and has been posting with that alternate account for a week or so before the comp., they're all nulled.

Alright, finally voted. They are all so good, it was hard to choose! :P

Are we gonna make this an annual thing?

i think that would be cool. and if we held it the same time each year, ppl would be aware of it coming up. so it'd be easier to have all the parts gathered/ideas laid out.

maybe we could do another random mod type contest for the other half the year...? or would that be too much...?
they call me the Queen of Bondo, though maybe i should be called the Queen of Epoxy Putty

I think one cheap product is chosen and then people make anything with it using only what came with the product. It could turn out really interesting depending on how creative people got.

Maybe a full fledged portable contest once a year, and some random mod contest twice, late fall, early spring. One with a theme (Say, controllers), and one with no theme at all, just any random mod. Also, we could make them much shorter, say, 4 weeks.

It would get peoples butt in gear and stop procrastinating! :D

That's a good idea. Its often enough to look forward to, but not often enough to devalue the contest.

as long as you're only referring to the 2 random mods. any less time than 6 weeks for the full fledged portable will not be good. a lot of us had to drop out due to 6 weeks being too short.

If its an annual thing, I think we could let the full-on portable contest a full two months since it won't be spur of the moment like this one was.

So - um... WHO WON?

Why no announcement? Who gets the prizes? Do I have to add all the votes up myself to find out?
