New PSP shell concept

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

You've done a great job with your RetroDuo, but there's nothing you can do that will keep it from being a fat Dreamcast controller with a screen.
true. im not really happy with the design of that case at all to be honest (small screen is small, and that damn corner) but the technique is just as flexible if not moreso than vacuum forming
.It won't ever have the same kind of magic that a homegrown case will,
what about a frankencase ISNT homegrown? designed based off of whatever you want and built from scratch

Vacuum form 1st try with a heatgun.
Gross. :?
What happened to the first one you posted?
Didn't like it that much. I tried using only a heatgun with this but it started smearing. Ugh.

It looks like you weren't heating it evenly.
Do you have access to an oven?

Triton:That post you replied to is from November, one of my first posts.
Since then, my opinion has changed a little. I still think that there is nothing you can do with frankencasing that can't be done with a well done vac-form.
That being said, I think the best solution is to form most of the case and salvage parts like button housings from their original controller. It can be done cleaner if you start from scratch, but you can get very nice results from incorporating both styles. No one said you could only use one. :)

not really. some schools (like mine) have trimesters instead of semesters. I will be having exams in about 2 weeks.
