there's no rule in the first post saying it does have to be handheld, so it should be fair game.Joes2Silly wrote:Does it have to be hand-held? No point as of now. If this thread becomes to cluttered, I'll make a new one. No worries until then.bacteria wrote:Ok, perhaps a topic needs to be generated now Skyone, and stickied?
I suggest we only keep that thread for nothing else than descriptions, pics and videos of completed projects in the compo - nothing else, and only one posting per entry too. If someone has something to add to their project description or vids, etc, they can edit it in to their posting if they need to. This will keep the posting in that thread to the bare bones and entirely relevant.
Good idea??

i'm pretty sure that they will need to work. after all, this isn't a "mock up a portable" contest. that's why it says in the rules that it needs all the components of a portable, including the batteries.Joes2Silly wrote:does it have to work? Could it just be for show?

Well the rules say it has to have a screen, like the rules say it has to have a built in controller. Well, if you could have a built in controller that doesn't work, then you could have a built in screen that doesn't work. Same with the batteries. So, if you could do that, you could have all non-functional components and have basically a mock up of a portable. Soooo, I don't think that would count either.
