I have got a PSone console for £4 and an SMS with 2 x controllers and 14 games for £10 ($20), and SNES's for £5 ($10); PSone games for 50p ($1) or 70p each ($1.40); however I got the deal of the day today - a SNES with Bomberman, 2 controllers, power supply for £1 ($2). I also got (another) GameCube or £2 ($4). I wanted a fan off a PC motherboard, got a whole motherboard complete with a stack of capacitors for £1.

I love car boot sales!!

Depends on where you live and where you check. Also involves a good amount of luck, too.

A couple weeks ago my brother got a Thinkpad 600e for $5 at a thrift store (I was there too, but he found it). 400MHz, 160MB ram, 10GB HD, not bad for $5. Only problem is the backlight, it dies sometimes. I think its a loose connection, if you tap the side of the screen a bit or close and open the lid it comes back. I'll take a look if it dies permanently or gets hard to bring back.

I noticed Circuit City has a pretty good deal going on this week for Wii owners.

Buy any of the following games at full price and get another from the list for 1/2 price. So basically you'd be getting two of these games for $75 plus tax.

Super Mario Galaxy
Mario Kart
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Tiger Woods '08
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

I was surprised by some of the games available (Galaxy, Kart, Brawl). Looks like a pretty good deal for those people that haven't picked any of those up yet.

Last night, picked up a GB Pocket, a 2-player Powerjoy joystick set-up, Coleco Sports plug-and-play, GB game, GB FM radio, N64 controller, two other plug-and-plays, and a PS one arcade-style controller for about $50. They also had an SNES and N64, but they were $25 each, and the controllers were separate. The SNES was really yellow, too.

Also got a wireless guitar and GH3 for $70 the other night.

Okay, guys, since it's that time of year again, it's about time this thread get stickied for garage sale season. :P Keep in mind that this thread is also for good scores in general, be it raiding grandpa's basement, getting lucky at Goodwill, dumpster diving, or, of course, the aforementioned garage sale.
