Any Nes Game on a Cart?

I think I understand most of it sept one important thing

how do you and what do you use to prepare a rom to be loaded into a EPROM?

and one lesser improtant question, will EEPROM's work?

(if noones knows the second one I will just order a variety of differint chips and see what works and what doseint and order in bulk what I need)

1. You need to "split" the ROM. That means convert it into PRG ROM and CHR ROM files. Finding a utility that converts ROMs into Pasofami format. uCON64 is such a utility.

2. EPROMs will work. The guys at NESDev use them in NES carts often.

as for the second thing I ment the electronically eracable kind I know the regular kind will Ill just get a few and find out

I have also seen people make custom carts with RAM chips, but this requires building extra circuitry into the cartridge.

I used a PROM burner for a while buit its not worth it id just stick to EEPROMs cause UV erasing is not very easy or cheap and I programmed my Atarigame so if you try to dump it the EEPROM will be erased by an onboard battery

What if you just desolder the EEPROM and put it into a ROM reader?

Im trying to make it so that when it is read on an emulaor or eprom reader it will also erase or if you try to open the case cause me games actually getting copyrighted so it cannont be stolen

I can use EPROMs because I managed to get my hands on a UV lamp that was donated to the students with the chips. I'm lucky.

Maybe you can add something into the PRG and CHR that if they are dumped into one file (a ROM), the ROM doesn't work. Just speculation.

Why not? It does work (but only if the weather is good)... I'd say it might damage the ROM but I dunno...
