see, i dont agree with this. why would nintendo go out of their way to make it easier than ever before to port titles cross platform if they arent going to be going after the AAA blockbuster titles that are on ps3/360. the wii was the fun for everyone entry level gaming system of the current cycle but i think the new HD system will be geared towards the serious gamer in that all important 18-24ish demographic

And at whoever made the mention that it'll be similar to a Super Nintendo, this I hope to see. Good 'ol hardcore Nintendo needs to come back. This may be slightly off topic but has anyone heard anything about a successor to the other consoles on the market? I find it slightly odd that a Wii successor and no other systems are mentioned to my knowledge, it makes sense but I still find it kind of odd.

Sony and MS intend to have their consoles running until at least 2013.

That's true, but the wii actually brought something new to the table. Not saying that its a good or bad thing, but motion controls were new.
