Err, it does if you jump the right pins together. The VGA box is not doing transcoding or upscaling, it just puts the DC into the mode where it outputs VGA, with only minor circuitry to clean up the signal. No Point considering I already have the box.

The box allows me to output VGA and Composite.

Hey, I'm looking at building something similar (have a Dreamcast that's collecting dust) and I thought I would recommend the Japanese keyboard to you.

That will solve the keyboard issue. I plan on picking one up later and I'm looking into the possibility of wiring up a finger pad (from an old laptop I have) as the mouse.
