Ok, a "youth fad". Here's showing my age (not been in school for many years now) - in my day:Kyo wrote:Bacteria, you probably missed out on this because you haven't been going to school for quite a while now (i hope!) and because it's more widespread in america than it is in europe, but emo is basically this:
it started off as a whiny style of music, but it ended in being a group of people who look like girls no matter what gender they are. a lot of them also like to cut themselves.
"being a group of people who look like girls no matter what gender they are" = New Romantics. Visage. Duran Duran. Gary Newman. Boy George. PS - in reality, females like males to be males, not sharing their make-up and having a "girl friend for a boyfriend"
The look - "Goth" with a hink of pink makeup.
"a lot of them also like to cut themselves" - I see a lot of those people in Custody - they tend to have mental health issues. What a stupid fad for the youth sheep to follow, BTW. Putting on make-up etc is easy to grow out of, but the scars on your arms and deep muscular scarring doesn't go away, and looks really bad, unless you look as ugly as a bulldog. I see extremes at work of this self-harming; as well as heroin and crack junkies; and people who claim cannabis is harmless, whilst they have a conversation with the wall or down the toilet as these things appear to the junkie as talking to them (drug induced psychosis).
"Emo" - Character from Sesame Street? - Yes, I know it's "Elmo", I just thought with his crap spelling that he couldn't spell that word either!
In the past, I have made a couple of predictions of people here who talk the talk but can't walk the walk (fakers with no substance - blaggers); my sixth sense says roxasnobody is another one...hope not but indications go that way...

And here we see another typical Emo activity, trying to attribute the multiple scars on their arms and legs to normal, everyday accidents.roxasnobody wrote: ahh i dont look like a girl and im used ot cutting my self (( i always do when the door scratches my arm in school i got liek 9 scars in one arm thnx to tht door))
Being emo in real life is one thing, fine, claim it is a "Way of life". But on the internet, saying you are emo is nothing but trying to draw attention to yourself. Pretty childish, really.
A ps2p with no screen, battteries, or controller?

Excellent

Or is it just because i told im emo? oh how to remove a thread?Kyo wrote:You got it right pretty much, if you replace "mental illness" with "pathetic cry for attention"
the thing is that they show off their scars hoping to look cool

Ben Cebhrem, Master Bacteria, Kyo and Palmer Tech thank you!! you prove and discredit the rising fad of being "emo" (or my friend says it means emotional, just shorter), honestly i can't stand people who claims or act "emo". like i said earlier labeling yourself is a lame and poor way to attract attention
(but NOW it's a great way to start an argument
). in all seriousness, roxasnobody, defending yourself on what "Label" you are is a losing battle. this is not Myspace or Mocospace(my brother favorite site). there was absolutely no reason to tell us your "emo" in the first place...
