But I'm not talking about Amperage, I'm talking about Charge (which is what they store, not what they put out).
So I would always get 15600mAh while it's irrelevant how I wire them.
6 cells in series = 7.2v, 2600mAh
6 cells in parallel = 1.2v, 15600mAh

6 groups of cells in series, in parallel, 36 total = 7.2v, 15600mAh

If you're using AA cells, trust me, not worth the time. Get sub-C sized cells at the minimum. AA cells have such a high internal resistance that the voltage sags prematurely when you're putting too much load on them. My super nintendo portable ran off 6 AA cells at first, I got 40 minutes of play time. And that drew about 1/4 the current your ps2 is going to. Waste of time, get sub-C cells or look into lithium polymer.

I'm going to ask you to lay off the swearing. It makes you look like a dumbass.

mAh stands for milli-ampere-hour. One ampere-hour is equal to 3,600 coulombs (ampere-seconds), the electric charge transferred by a steady current of one ampere for one hour. An ampere-hour is not a unit of energy. In a battery system, for example, accurate calculation of the energy delivered requires integration of the power delivered (product of instantaneous voltage and instantaneous current) over the discharge interval. Generally the battery voltage varies during discharge; an average value may be used to approximate the integration of power

a slim ps2s power draw is around 5.3A (approximately 45W) according to specs, 45W divided by 7.2v = 6.25A@7.2v. Rate of discharge varies greatly from battery to battery. we will assume yours can handle a 1C rate, "C" is the theoretical amount of current a battery delivers when discharged in one hour to the point of 100% depth of discharge. so 2.6a x 1.2v x 6 cells = 18.72w. the ps2 draws 45 watts per hour and your batteries can provide 18.72watts of power in one hour, so even if they were 2c capable they would at BEST provide you with appx 29 minutes of battery life (18.72w divided by 45w = .416hrs times 60 = 24.9minutes) even saying that the ps2 ACTUALLY draws (not stated but actual power use) is 30w you would still only get 37.44 minutes of runtime with those batteries
