BTW, is the board small enough if I wanted to use the Radio Shack PC Board Kit?
Self answer - yes.
So gannon, could you supply a mirror PNG image (in the correct size, with lines around the board so we know where to cut) of the traces so we could make our own boards?
Looks like we have a new standard for the size of the VCSp. And Gannon hope you can keep up with supply once AA members hear of this.

3.579575 Mhz crystal = NTSC
4.433619 Mhz crystal = PAL
original found in the Phoenix-blog
I found that by tapping or holding something metallic against the crystals on the screen (oval metal cans in left photo) the unit turned on with color just fine. From my limited knowledge of TV I know the 3.579545 MHZ cystal is the NTSC clock for generating a signal (I think it's heavily involved with color, if I'm wrong please correct me) Anyway the Atari has a crystal of the same frequency on it.
(Note: The 4.433619 MHZ crystal seen on the screen is for PAL, which the screen can also take as input)

I checked out the PAL atari schematics, and my pcb won't work for it. Ends up the only difference is the TIA and the PAL clock, but the console still runs on the 3.579575Mhz frequency, so it requires 2 clock circuits. Also, the pinout for the TIA is different.
I guess I could make a pcb design for it still if I have any extra time though.
Could you go ahead and email me the eagle file. It would be really nice of you. And I wont post any pics if you dont want. Also, this board uses the cd4050 mod right? So this thing wont work for psone screens? Or does this use bens new video mod?
