Yea I used some dabs of hot glue around the corners. It's holding up pretty good so far.G-force wrote:I'm curious, how did you mount the screen? hot Glue?

WOW! Ive actuall been working on that same idea since June 2004, had no idea anyone else was doing so. I guess you finished yours first! If i had just tried harder... I could have also had the 2nd n64p, if i had ever finished, back in '03. BTW, neither of those 2 of my projects are done... lacking motivation...

Lol, Whats The Pointbicostp wrote:Maybe your next project could be a GOAC Nomad!
How about a GOAC Game Gear?
Or a PS1 PSP (Just about impossible)
One of my abandoned projects was to actually put a Radica Genesis inside a Game Gear case (with extra buttons of course), but I don't seem to be able to find a Game Gear anywhere.

Somebody please buy my Dreamcast >_> £20+shipping

There are how-tos on how to hack a hip gear screen, there are pinouts for NOACs, combine the two and you have a how-to. Really there's nothing too complex about this. It uses the original rubber GBO button things, you just redo the solder-points.

I agree, also search for Ladyada's page. My setup is pretty much identical except for using the gameboy case and buttons. I used the same guides and how-to's on this forum to complete this project, along with my new NESp project with a cartridge slot. Thanks and good luck.soundwave wrote:There are how-tos on how to hack a hip gear screen, there are pinouts for NOACs, combine the two and you have a how-to. i just saw this, and i really have nothing to say ... except that it's just AWESOME. being the novice i am, i'm also wondering if somebody could provide links for the mentioned 'howtos', i looked on the main site, but all the howtos there were related to the atari portable system (or something? i just skimmed). i would do anything to make something like this, that would just totally rock.

That may be suitable or not, I'm not sure, but it looks pretty small and simple , and takes a 5V-15V supply. Just one IC amp, a few resistors and caps, and the GB speaker and you're set. If you decide to try it out, please post your results, I'd be interested
EDIT: Can you also state how you kept the bottom part (apparently the ac adapter and headphone jack) of the gb internals in and coordinating them with the rest of the MegaJoyBoy
Re: 76000 Games in a Gameboy. I call it the MegaJoyBoy! BIG
Thanks for the link bazz! I'm going to try it as soon as I find some time. As for the bottom part of the gameboy, the only thing down there is the headphone jack, which is it's own circuit board, separate from the controller board. I just squeezed the extra parts in there. What extra parts? If that was a dumb question excuse me, I do not have much experience with headphones.All4Sky wrote:As for the bottom part of the gameboy, the only thing down there is the headphone jack, which is it's own circuit board, separate from the controller board.
