Real hackers don't have any money, which means they don't have oscilloscopes, which means they can't USE oscilloscopes.
Actually, a friend of my father works at the DESY, which is why I was able to get this professional dual channel oscilloscope for only 10€

Ohhhh yeahhhhhhh

I haven't tried it, but I assume the 3.3 V (volt, not ampere!) line won't run on 5V

anybody got a spare gamecube to try?

So can the power regulation board take 7v (for example), and still spit out 1.9v, 3.3v, and 5v? I can't find anything confirming or denying that.

No, just the 12v line on the GC board.

The regulator board itself does not take anything lower than 10v. You still need to step down 5v, 3.43v, and 1.9v.

EDIT: Are you being skeptical or something? It sounds like you don't believe me. :? I have a video, if that makes anything better.

I suppose this could have been assumed, as the GCN power supply would put out 12v, as it would be more efficient to step down from 12VDC than 120VAC. Maybe Nintendo was worried that the regulators would not be able to handle the extra 20-40mA of power. :P

Look at the back, and then in the vents: If you see empty space, you are outta luck, if you see sheilding, you should be fine.

Also, I think the only one w/o it are the GC's w/o the Digital av port and are platinum.
