6 weeks is fine, as you say, a balance between keeping a level of interest and giving sufficient time, although 6 weeks is tight (I would have suggested closer to 8 weeks, but never mind).
In 6 weeks I will have my SNES module completed (will look nicer than the N64 module, should complete next week); hope to complete another system or two as well (may not have time with also making my frankencase Gamboy Color case mod though) - time, as always, permitting; especially as I use a fair bit of project time in documenting my work as I go along (this will be no exception).
I am in.
Skyone - is the idea that we submit pics and videos on this thread or would you set up a new thread purely for submitted completed projects??
It will be interesting to see what people enter.

Oh, you definitly have a shot. But I hope that G-force doesnt just show up and pwn us all again
Bacteria, you cant win because you've already "been" featured on ben's site.
And you are really just recasing a console, no? I CRYTISIZE YOU! CRYTISIZE!
Unless you build a standalone snes portable(which you could easily pull off) than I eveict you from the contest. But still submit your entry, I'd like to see how many people vote for ya.
I dont know why I even made this post, but I'm sure it means nothing.

I'll make a new thread for media in about a week.bacteria wrote:6 weeks is fine, as you say, a balance between keeping a level of interest and giving sufficient time, although 6 weeks is tight (I would have suggested closer to 8 weeks, but never mind).

Hmm, I don't think it's fair for you to submit a module as a competing portable. What's the detachable module without the top half that contains the screen and controller, which has been finished for quite some time now?
mmm, I think this shouln´t be a race.
build a portable at 6 weeks can be easy or ddifficult depending of the project, free time, materials, tools.....
so I think we should valorate the final aspect, also the hours spend on it, materials, tools used. and lot of other things.
is not same have a "ben´s garage with lot of industrial machinery and powerfull tools" that make a portable at a "hotel room with basic/minimal tools/materials".
also the total money spent should be valorated. and lot of other things
at my opinion there is a lot of points must be valorated before rate a project.

If anyone can suggest where I can get a decent priced screen between 2.5" and 5", I'll sign up. That's the keystone in me working on any portables, need a damn screen.
