btw the crazy turn thingy was a adjustable position rotary switch. It switches from Off to Charge/On to DC input (On)/Charge.

I like the wood case, looks really nice.

4 Questions:
1 - What kind of wood did you use?
2 - Where did you get it?
3 - Would it be hard to move and redo the cartridge slot for a soldering newbie?
4 - Is there a certain way to rewire it, or do I just put it the same way as it was already?

I HAVE searched for the cartridge part for 1.5 hours, couldn't find anything on it, so I need help.

1. I used Birch and Cherry. Bought it in 7/8" thickness and cut it to the desired thickness on a Table Saw.

2. Local Wood yard

3. Yes it is. Takes a lot a patience and desoldering.

4. Just desolder and solder new wire inbetween the contact on the board and the pin on the cart slot.

There isnt a part. Desolder the old cart slot.

i opened my original SNES and its board is pretty small. i'll post pics when i find a camera

I am impressed. Do you work at or own a wood shop, with a lof of specialized tools. Nice wooden buttons.

Yes I do have a small workshop. But no I don't have any "specialized tools". Most of the work is done on a Table Saw, Scroll Saw, and a Drill Press. All of which are pretty standard tools, you just need the know how to use the tools and improvise when needed.
