Okie dokie. Things did not go as planned. I waited 4 hours, as it was so imperative to do. I wet it with 3 layers of near-dripping wet paper towels. The results?
Numerous stretch marks on half the screen, and about 1 cm squared of the corner is missing the polarizer.
All in all, the screen would have looked better had I performed this properly. But to remove a few scratches, I would not recommend, because now instead of scratches, I have stretch marks that will never be removed. And a white corner.
Grrr.
Oh well, at least it didn't all get destroyed. It looks fine head on. Minus the corner, which only just touches the SNES display's viewing corner. How do I get it back on? Superglue?

Did you pull evenly and smoothly or did you pull some and stop then pull some more ?
4 hours should be plenty. On all 6 Psone screens that I've done 4 hours and it peeled up like butter.
Maybe I should make it 6 hours in case it's an older stubborn panel ?
And how did you manage to pull up some of the Polar?

Yeah it was kind of sticky, but I was tired and really needed to go to bed (Discrete test next day, WHICH WAS MMOVED!!!
)
Being tired, I panicked when it was sticky and didn't know how to proceed. Perhaps that should be part of it. What is the maximum soaking time, approximately?
Also, I'm in Canada, with a lower relative humidity (2nd T-shirt day yesterday, we're at roughly 20-25 C at 30% relative humidity. Pehrpas that's a factor.
However, I cleaned it, and a lot of the problem was the glue. Now it looks like minor surface scratches.
As for the polarizer, I used an exacto knife to seperate a corner of the polarizer, and It looked fine. Oddly enough, a bit of polarizer came up too, but thank-god-fully tore.
How do I get it back on? Can I? If not, time for some black paint!
The stretches I can live with, they aren't so bad.
