Thanks all, for the nice comments. Yes, it is boxy. I really like it, it has a more definite shape than vacuum formed cases.
I like the screen outside, too. But as a result, the LED backlight had to be put completely inside the light box. But it was a fun challenge.
It is small, the smallest (soon-to-be) portable so far.
"But wait, what about Sifuf's portable?"
That did not technically qualify as a portable, as it did not have any internal batteries. ShockSlayer made a pretty small one; it was his sixth, but mine is still slightly smaller.

Esecially since when you drop it, if it doesn't land on the back, or a flat surface, your screwed. You better hope your joystick and buttons are tall: this reason is why I have always kept my screens inside/flat as much as possible.
Anyways, I like the paint job. Interested in seeing how this one turns out: looking great so far!
Also, I'm waiting for the final measurements! Our battle of the sizes isnt over yet!
Well, the N64 fried. I had my regulator from TI wired up and working fine, it has been working great since last night. Well, I had ground wired up from the battery, and I was holding the 7.5v wire on the 12v line. (Everything is wired to run from it) Everything was fine, the screen running, the N64 fine, then I slipped and the 7.5v wire briefly touched the 3.3v line. Everything turned off. Pulled off the wire, put it back on. Screen came on, N64 did nothing. This totally sucks. And the other N64 I had broke when the csync pin on the video chip broke off. So no more video from that one. Now I have to get a new N64, and re-wire the AV port, and the cartridge slot, and the power, and...

Dang man that sucks. But persevere and you'll soon get a great n64p. This time though wrap EVERYTHING in electrical tape. lol

Just let it stay, also maybe a fuse is just blown? This stuff is somehow repairable right? Nintendo had to fix them(Or just send you a new one, who knows), but about that other N64, have you considered digging into the plastic to find the remains of that pin?

Nintendo can open it up. It's their warranty. I don't think it would be that hard to fix it for them.

I think the warrenty is all warrentyed out by now... I think you only got a 1 year factory malfunction warrenty, meaning if you opened it up and screwed with it by connecting wires to it it voided its warrenty.

I think we should check to see if you can withstand 220 volts

The warranty may be out but you can still payed to get it fiaxed as long as you haven't tampered with the insides. I actually got my snrs fixrd a couple years back. But don't quote me on this, they may have stopped by now.
Thanks for the consolidating comments, guys. I won't let this minor setback hider my portable's progress. I bet this was all a ploy by ShockSlayer so his portable can stay the smallest.
I decided I'm going to work on my portable like normal, but near the end swap out the dead N64 with the one in my home, so I don't have to buy a new one.
So here is what I got done today:
The power switch:
The regulator:
I also installed a little something that turns the screen off when I plug in the AV cable:
Schematic:
The "sense" pin goes to ground for a PNP transistor, to Vcc for an NPN. On the AV connector I connected the shield to ground and used that inside the portable.
