i cutt it and wired it ut i cut a couple of traces on the board by mistake So I'll test for continuity. I'm gonna use a prject box it should be done by friday. For cross country sectionals

I worked on the video I need to stop by radio shack for somes pots I got the controls hooked up too.

The only problem is this. I can;t seem to find the sync on my board did anyone else have this problem. I could post a picture in photobucket so you can see my board.

Well I've gotten as far as solder on pots and the resister, but all I got was a black screen with statick lines of grey and white.

I'd say just follow Ben's guide on classicgaming and you should have a problem, only other suggestion is PM Spongebuell.

Are you following Ben's guide? if you do it has the pins labled for you.

I couldn't find them I was following his guide i found them. The problem was that I had a refurbished board and they are slightly different. Or it could be my version.

Well you have one of three versions if its by Atari, heavy 6, 4 switch and Jr. Ben covers them all. If its say the Sears version then well you'll have to work off of finding out what chip is which and pins.

No its a 1980 board but refurbished with 1985 parts if that makes any sense. But I just followed the traces myself and figured it all out.

Bottom left corner... My atari boards a bit different too, but if you follow the traces you can get the video signal. Also on the pic the one labled sync is connected to one of the ICs via copper traces, your just connecting the chroma to the sync pin. If you still are having trouble look on doomportables. I have a 2600 wiring diagram in there somewhwere.

No, Im saying the point marked sync is already connected to one of the pins on the IC by a copper trace... Be easy on yourself and follow Bens tutorial on the old site.

Just find pin 9 on the T.I.A, that's the color line before it gets mixed with anything else like sync.
