Sorry, I just have the opinion that Sony doesn't deserve to make game consoles with tactics like stealing features from other companies, mudslinging the other companies beforehand for said features, then hypocritically calling the features "revolutionary", or "breakthroughs" once they implement them. I also detest the fact that they pretty much try to undermine other companies and kill their products (RIP Dreamcast). I heavily enjoyed the fact that they struggled to sell the PS3 at first and the PSP was a commercial failure. I just don't think that they are going to make an impact against the 3DS with this phone or the PSP2. To me, Sony is the dirty bastard of gaming.

I hope it's a fake. Typically Sony products are at least pretty, even if that's all they're good at. This wasn't even good-looking.

^ this site gave an interesting justification for the phone. It mentions that the iPhone and itouch were very successful despite the similarities and closeness of release.

psp 2000 was not cool. (update to the psp without adding what anyone actually wanted)

ps1 was aight
ps2 was coolest because you could use a hardrive/dvd player/burnt games and customize boot sequences!
psp was cool cuz the first gen ones could be hacked like crazy....framerates sucked hard but still.
psp go was iffy...concept was there but i see it as hackable later on to fill the awesome realm

ps3 has the potential to be the epicness of all systems but its awaiting a notable hacker.

I never saw the ps2 as a hack worthy system, everyone i know IRL modded there xbox but no one modded there ps2
psp go gives me hand cramp and still doesnt have dual analogs/touch screen, but its ability to fit in my pocket without any trouble is cool.

maybe if dark alex worked on the ps3 it would be worth buying

Of the sony systems I only really liked the playstation. Never got into the ps2, and while I kid of enjoyed the psp, I grew very bored with it and sold it a while back. in fact, I mostly remember just sneaking internet porn on it since it was small and easy to hide from parents. lol.

However nothing beats the Sony's old walkmans. And I'm taqlking cassette, not those phone and mp3 players we have now.

The PS1 revolutionized and revitalized the Video Game Generation.

I remember people preordering it well over a year in advance. EbGames and other stores had deals where you could trade in an old system and 10 games and get $100 off. And people were lined up bringing in their systems to do that.

And the momentum never stopped. Up until the PS2 came out people were still buying the system like it was crack-rock.

Funny thing is, I never had a Psone or Ps2 until they were dead and gone. LOL

I was a Nintendo guy. Loved Mario games.

Oh well, guess I can play them now.

Not that any of these phone systems ever got me stoked, I'm just glad it's resembling an I-phone clone. apples creepy now that Jobs is on the war path, forcing the price of these things lower and lower, making production value some what questionable.

I don't know, can you get it on face book? can you twit off on these things. Can you operate it with one hand wile driving? can you operate it with one hand in your pocket? are the first three revisions going to suck my bank account dry? and the most vital question will jack ass's camp out over night for the first 50,000 defective models? just wondering!

And... what about the resolution for Video play back? My first modded DS had a hard drive full of porn, are we taking the same thing here? if so I'm excited... I'll toss my net book and external drive against the wall if I can carry umptine hours of hard core porn with me every where I go... in my pants... and not have it on some stupid 4th or 15th gen I-phone/pod/vibrator
