ow I understand what your asking now the answer is nope 12 volts is to much for a psone screen (the screen would tern on and probubley not break (it might break) but the picture will not be right at all) to funtion properley its got to be cut down with a voltage regulator (witch will definatley need to be heat sinked)
actually in the book it said + 7.5v in because the PSone screen can take more than 7.5 volts and put it through it's regulator.

But the screen get's distorted with an input above 9V because there are some components before the regulators.

Geez! [::=::] Bandaid! Sorry if it appeared as if I wasn't paying attention to you about how many volts can be put into it, I just was unsure, and just in case you might not have know, I possibly wanted a second opinion, and now I have one from gannon. So I am sorry I didn't believe you sooner.

And your lack of grammatical structure should leave you unworthy of posting.

Couldn't you just hook up a heat-sinked 7808 to bring down the 12 v to 8v, which the screen could take?

Um, what country do you live in?

If it's America I have no idea, but if it's the UK, then try Maplin (although I seem to be the only English based (even european) guy around here. I coud be wrong though.

Ah Cool.

There's a comapny in England called Farnell InOne, and they sell them. They have a sister company in America called Newark InOne (www.newarkinone.com). They might just keep them, although I don't have time to check now.

EDIT: Actually I did just check,

here they are

http://www.newark.com/NewarkWebCommerce ... &x=52&y=10

You'll need one of the bottom 3 as they all allow 1A or more to pass through.
