Well there are a few options altho you prob wont wanna do them.

Sell computers at a store: You will need to know the inside out of the PC be able to talk to the person in "normal non techie speach" and you can even be apart of the service repair department and go install the PC at homes etc.

PC Maker: You can be a sywstem builder you can build custom PC for people who want a certain PC and you will be in contact with people mostly "tech headed"

Software/Web developer: With this you get to work for a company who needs software developed or needs web site developed. The plus is you will prob get to help setup the servers and do all the software parts and do scripting for the webserver. Or you could be developing programs for the company.

Technician\Help desk: you can be a tech in a company or a school being help desk which lets you take care of the servers and all the pc's in the company including equipment like printers.

There are a lot of jobs you can do just depends what u want.

I myself have been a Web developer for a backend system for a Newspaper, A tech for a primary school working with the Goverment, I'v been help desk at a few companys, I'v been a programmer, i'v been a Pc builder building Pc and servers to spec anbd iv done a few more jobs that dont come under the normal Information Technology section.

Whats the best degree? Well down here if you have a Help desk certificate and some degree's in networking or windows you can get any job basiclly.

Your seen as a guy who has overall knowledge of Computer systems and you have degree's in networking systems. This will give you the best chance but i dont know if they look at it like that there.

Best bet? get some training do some part time courses it might not get a degree but u will get a certificate which will impress them just as well and u can have more skills under your belt which will look good on the resume.

Oh and another Hint is when you interview use the "i dont care attitude" as in i dont care what u think I am me and im a great worker.

Its how i use it and i interview great they see self confidence, man with a strong work ethic and will generally like u.

Every interview i'v done i have had a great response on how i conducted myself.

Even if you dont do the degree try to be self confidant and dont show them your nervous if you make a good impression and show them a bit of your skill then they might take you on amnd teach u :)

but doing part time courses for a certificate in networking or web designing etc will go far :)

Actually, I'd love to build custom PCs. It's interesting enough, and would help pay for school (which I do plan to go to, but not for computers again.)

Anyways: Good News!!! A local OEM supplier/custom computer store is giving me a job. I start tomorrow. Persistance, Persistance, Persistance.

(Lucky me, the guy in charge of hiring knew me from high school, and remembered me as one of the real smart guys. Being a high school outcast/geek has finally paid off)

Thanks for the advice BTW, nin.

And thankyou all for listening to me vent!
