And what about the N64 controller input - you still haven't explained how you are going to get an N64 controller to connect to your FDS/NES/GB. If you're not going to bother connecting the N64 pads to the FDS, then why would you bother to use an a/v passthrough on the N64 in the first place? It'd make no sense - they wouldn't be interacting in any way.

I have yet to hear of anyone managing to get the FDS working on a famiclone, and to be honest, I doubt I ever will.
As far as I know, the FDS works fine with NOACs. I've seen it attached to a NeoFami and running at a store, but I can't say 100% that it works because my RAM adapter doesn't fit properly into my NOAC's cart slot and for some reason my screwdrivers aren't wanting to let me own my NOAC or the RAM adapter to test it :/ Maybe this weekend I can have a go at it again though. I don't think they'd go so far as to put a pirate Mario 2 into a RAM adapter case though.

Right, and I know you appreciate how much work that would be for a home coder.

The cart slot is pretty much the killer, I've heard of people not being able to get their famiclones to work with the FDS because the ram thing won't fit. Reading around though it seems like the FDS works ok on the Neofami, so yeah, you're right. I think most people would rather run it on the real deal, though
